Copyright Claim Release

If you’ve received a copyright claim from Youtube for using my music, don't worry! Just read below to quickly resolve the issue.

First of all, thanks so much for choosing my music for your content. It really means a lot! As you know, my music is released under a CC-BY licence. This means you can use it for free, even on monetised videos.

The only thing I ask in return is that you properly credit me.

Unfortunately, I had issues with people stealing my music. Due to that, I have made the difficult decision to implement a new "Smart Content ID" system, which should prevent this from happening. The way it works is the system finds videos with my music in it, and then it checks the video description for proper credits. If proper credits are present, then a claim is not triggered. Otherwise, if it finds something is not correct (e.g. missing credits), then (and only then) it will trigger a claim.

How can I release the claim and go back to monetising my video?

It's really easy! You can do so by simply crediting me and the track title in your YouTube video description, including a link to my YouTube channel. For instance, a good credit would look like this:

Music used: The Travelling Symphony by Savfk - www.youtube.com/@savfkmusic

Before you use my music, I also ask you to subscribe to my YouTube channel (you need to sign in to Google before you can do so):

Finally, simply fill out this form to get the claim released!

Remember, if you properly credit me when uploading a new video, you will not get a claim at all!

I think I have properly credited you but I am still receiving a claim??

I am really sorry this is happening! Unfortunately this sytem is not perfect. If you followed all these instructions and you are still receiving a claim, please send me an email with a link to your video (my email address: savfkmusic at gmail dot com) and I will try to get back to you as soon as possible.

Thank you very much for your continued support..!
